Collision Marsh

An artesian well on this site made it a popular local picnic spot during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Today beavers have taken over management of the area, constructing an extensive network of dams that keeps the area wet all year. The marsh supports a tremendous variety of plants and wildlife. It is accessible by driving north on county road 720E from the town of Collison, east on 2600N, and then stopping near the railroad track. The road continues to Kinney Ford at the Middle Fork River.
